ACADEMIC AND VOCATIONAL Scholarship Opportunities

Generous community contributions to our educational scholarship funds make scholarship awards possible. We are thrilled to again be able to offer a scholarship application period. Awards are available for individuals seeking to attend Vocational/technical college, 2-year college, 4-year college, or other post-secondary education schools to better themselves and their careers within the Fishing Industry.

Spring applications due April 14th, 2024.

Welcome! We are thrilled to offer scholarships to further the education of students from Prince William Sound. You are invited to apply if any of the following apply to you:

  • You are a current member of CDFU, or a dependent (immediate family member) of a current member

  • You are a high school graduate (or just about to!) from a Prince William Sound community.

  • You are already enrolled in a post-secondary education program that has a connection to commercial fishing, and hail from a PWS community.

  • You have a history of working in the commercial fishing industry of Area E .
